ModPilot ("ModPilot", "we", "us") provides an AI-powered content moderation platform. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information in connection with our website, dashboard, and API (together, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information we collect
Account information
When you create a client account or API key, we collect details such as your name, work email, company, and authentication credentials.
Content submitted for moderation
When you send content to the Services for moderation, we process the text, images, and metadata you submit in order to return a moderation decision. This content is processed to operate the Service and to maintain an audit trail of moderation decisions.
Usage and technical data
We collect logs, request metadata, IP addresses, and similar technical information to operate, secure, and improve the Services.
3. How we use information
- To provide moderation decisions and operate the dashboard and API.
- To maintain audit trails, confidence scores, and reasoning for compliance and accountability.
- To authenticate requests, enforce permissions, and protect against abuse.
- To monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the performance and accuracy of the Services.
- To communicate with you about your account, support requests, and service updates.
4. AI processing and third-party models
ModPilot routes content to AI providers you configure (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Groq, or a custom endpoint) to generate moderation decisions. Content sent to those providers is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. You control which providers and models are enabled for your account.
5. Data retention
Moderation results are retained as an audit trail for as long as your account is active or as required to meet legal, compliance, and operational obligations. Cached pending-review items expire automatically. You may request deletion of account data as described below.
6. Security
We operate on SOC 2 compliant infrastructure and apply technical and organizational safeguards, including encryption of sensitive credentials at rest, access controls, and IP whitelisting for API keys. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work continuously to protect your data.
7. Your choices and rights

8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated through the Services or by email.
